Point of Contact and Training Information
Our official point of contact for all things related to this matter is training.admin@doverfs.com
Please note that from the "My Courses" page Admins can find the following:
1. Oracle Portal Admin Training
2. LMS How-To Videos & LMS Training Webinars (what this article covers briefly)
If any processes change, they will be updated in these areas.
First, login to the Dover Fueling Solutions website as Admin (Ron Billmyre, Maria Lopez, Michael Tucker).
Dover Fueling Solutions
NOTE! Techs and local Managers will NOT sign-up for these courses on their own!
These courses will be ordered by the Training Department.
How to Request the Course
On the upper-left corner of the screen, click on the Hamburger Menu (3 lines on the upper left) and choose Admin.
It will open a dropdown, from there choose Student Management Tool.
This brings you to another page where you click on Request Course Access:
This finally brings you to the page where you can get the template.
If you don't already have one, click on Blank Request Access Template down at the bottom of the page:
This will download a .CSV file (spreadsheet) to your computer.
Open the spreadsheet and it will look like this:
Simply enter the Course ID number, the username (the email they are registered with Dover with), and the reason we are requesting the course. ("John must re-certify" is perfectly acceptable!)
Note that you can add as many techs and requests as you want here, just be sure to use this same format.
In this picture I've widened the columns for easier viewing:
Now you must save a copy of this to your computer.
From the upper-left, click on File and then Save As:
It is not necessary to change the name of the file, but you can if you want.
Make sure you save it somewhere you will be able to find it.
In this case I'm going to change it from my downloads folder to my desktop:
After clicking "Save" this window will close and it will take you back to the spreadsheet.
You can close the spreadsheet now as well, and go back to the Dover website.
You should still be on the "Request Course Access" page.
If you are not, navigate back to it now:
Now you will click on "Browse" and find the file you saved on your computer after filling it out:
Highlight the file and click "Open"
This window will close, and now on the Request Courses Page it will show your file name just below the "Browse" option.
Click "Request Access From File" and it will upload to their site, completing the request.
How to Pay for the Course
Normally you will receive emails within a couple of days that let you know if the course request was denied or approved.
If approved, you must pay for it.
The person who requested the course must pay for it, it will NOT show up for other Admin!
To do this you will once again go to the Hamburger Menu in the upper left and choose "My Info"
(Payments are done under My Info, NOT under Admin!)
Next choose Order History:
This will bring you to a page that will allow you to see your requests.
In the second line of tabs, you will click on Approved and see a screen similar to this:
Over on the very rightside of the screen where the above picture shows "Paid" it will instead ask who is going to pay for the course. You will select your name from the dropdown.
From there you will go to Pending Payments and follow the payment entry process.
Appendix: How to Find the Course ID Number
Commonly used Course Numbers include:
3699 - Safety Training Verification
2286-- FMS Fuel Control FSC3000 Pre-Class Coursework 501
(NOTE! Instructor-Led Courses such as the one for FMS Fuel Control FSC3000 must be gotten from what is currently listed because they frequently change, see instructions below!)
2859 - FMS Fuel Control FSC3000 Synergy Recertification CEP 1503
IF you do not already know the Course ID Number, this is how you find it:
Click on the Hamburger Menu (3 lines on the upper left) and select Catalog
Note: This page may default to "My Courses":
IF it does, click on Catalog to the left of it:
For online training and certifications go to:
eLearning Courses
North America
OPW FMS
Then choose either Fuel Control, Fuel Management Software, or Tank Gauge as required.
(Note that Safety Training is under "North America Miscellaneous if they need to complete it!)
In this example we are going to click on Fuel Control:
And if we are looking for the PV200 Technical Training Course, we make note of the course number which is 1350. That course number is the ONLY thing we want here, we do not need to do anything else from this screen!
Now you are ready to Request the Course.
